In the Christian Gospels, the Last Supper was the last meal Jesus shared with his Twelve Apostles and disciples before his death. The Last Supper has been the subject of many paintings, perhaps the most famous by Leonardo da Vinci.

Leonardo Da Vinci draws our attention to a focal point in the Last Supper. Christ is the central figure. Notice how he is placed in the center of the painting. Notice how the lines or the building behind Christ points diagonally toward him. There are rumors that the symmetry of the beams behind Christ may have been added by a restorer. Notice also that the window behind Christ also frames him to further distinguish him from the rest of the painting.
