The Incredibles soared to 70 million dollars on their
first opening weekend. The only animated film to come in
higher was Shrek 2. The film stars a super hero family who
must confront an evil from the past. The characters include
Mr. Incredible (the Dad ), Elastigirl (Mom), Dash (the son),
Violet (the daughter), the baby, and the family friend
Frozone who has the ability to freeze the air. His powers are
a lot like Iceman from the X-men. Mr. Incredible
possesses super human strength, Elastigirl is a female
Plastic Man, Dash is a tiny Flash with super speed and the
ability to run on water, and the daughter Violet has the
power to become invisible and create force fields. It's a
great family movie and a must for any comic book super hero
fan to go see. Some elements of the plot may even remind you
of a recent Batman plot, but I won't tell you which one.
