Wizard of Oz Movie Posters

The classic movie The Wizard of Oz was originally released in 1939 and starred Judy Garland as Dorothy. Dorothy lives on a farm in Kansas with her Uncle Henry (Charley Grapewin) and Auntie Em (Clara Blandick), until a cyclone blows through and picks her, her house, and her dog, Toto, up and drops them in the land of Oz - on top of the Wicked Witch of the East. This gets Dorothy in trouble with the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton), who seeks revenge for the death of the Wicked Witch of the East.

Things in Oz are strange and beautiful, but Dorothy just wants to go back home. She's helped by the Good Witch of the North (Billie Burke). She travels to the Emerald City where a great wizard (Frank Morgan) lives, hoping that he can help her get back home. On her way she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain (Ray Bolger), a Tin Man who wants a heart (Jack Haley), and a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage (Bert Lahr). They all hope the Wizard of Oz will help them, before the Wicked Witch of the West catches up with them.
