Plot Summary for Signs: Reverend Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) lost his wife in a car accident and now he has lost his faith and quit his job. Six months later, Graham is living with his brother Merill (Joaquin Phoenix) and two children, (Rory Culkin and Abigail Breslin) in rural Buck County, Pennsylvania. One day, they wake up and discover a 500-foot crop circle in their yard. The kids think it is extra-terrestrials, Merill thinks it's pranksters, and Graham is not quite sure. However, as more and more strange events occur, he realizes something big is coming, and it's probably not going to be friendly.
